Australia lifted the Ashes urn by virtue of drawing this series and winning the last one down under

England ended their memorable summer by earning a 2-2 draw in the Ashes with a 135-run defeat of Australia in the fifth Test.

On a beautifully sunny day at The Oval, England set Australia 399 to win and bowled them out for 263 to square the contest with their oldest enemies in a year when they lifted the World Cup for the first time.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan: “Australia deserved to retain the Ashes.

“England have got to celebrate the fact that a few days ago Australia retained the Ashes and we all expected Australia to blow them away this week.

“With the ball, in particular, they have been exceptional.”

London Parking rates are as equal as house prices in the rest of the UK

London Parking charges: It is the most compact and busiest metropolitan city in the world. Indeed right to claim its the most expensive when it comes to real estate. Not everyone can dream about buying a home in London. The more you get close to London the more rates will escalate. The far you go rates will be sliced down to normal. But there is something you would be surprised to know that either you buy a home anywhere outside London you have to pay around $250,000 which is almost as equal to buying a parking spot in London. Yes, the cost of the home everywhere in the UK beside London is as much as the starting price of a home in London. Let’s have a close look:

Drivers in the capital pay an average of £219,000 for a spot to park their car, new research reveals. This is almost enough to buy a home in the rest of the UK, where the average house price is £230,776.

A standard parking space measures 7.9ft by 16ft, putting the average cost of buying parking in London at £1,731.60 per sq ft – on a par with homes in Kensington & Chelsea. In LambethIslington, and Camden, parking spaces sell for over £500,000. The average London home costs £473,822.

Car reviews for almost every brand

Wandsworth and Westminster also have a parking premium of over £400,000, while the cost of parking topped £100,000 in half of all boroughs, the figures from letting agent Benham and Reeves showed.

The cheapest borough to buy a parking space was Enfield, where the average price was £7,200. Redbridge (£10,417); Lewisham (£15,466); Brent (£20,500); and Hillingdon (£23,245) were the only other boroughs where a parking space cost less than £25,000.

“If you’re buying a flat which is £8 million the idea of spending three percent of that — which equates to about £250,000 — on secure parking for your expensive car in an area like Mayfair where there is very limited parking doesn’t actually seem exorbitant,” said Charles Cridland, technical director of parking space rental website Your Parking Space.

Ashes 2019: Ben stokes indeed the players who gave life to Test cricket when all other formates are just getting more interest, viewers, and business is being done much better in other formats than in Test Cricket. This player has just made impossible possible with his classic skill, mental vigilance, and vibrancy. When your other strike ender could just not manage to score a single out of 70 runs and you still stay optimistic and strives for something beyond people’s imagination and forced them to believe in you.

It was a few Australia’s blunder and chances which they offered to England which they accepted and ultimately claimed third Test trump. Wasted review, missed the catch and run outlet England to claim victory in the Third Test. Besides the 10th wicket partnership, Leach stayed on wicket without a run for longest as well. An astonishing century from Ben Stokes secured England one of the greatest Ashes comebacks off all-time against Australia at Headingley to level the series.

Stokes exceptional patience and skill sailed England safely onshore

Seriously, if you thought what Stokes did in the World Cup final was good, this was something else. He didn’t celebrate his 50, he didn’t celebrate his century, and finally, he has the chance to enjoy himself. That is one of the great knocks and under such pressure. I cannot believe it. Just sensational.4:18pm

Ben Stokes what a man you are. He crashes a drive through the covers and England have won at Headingley and kept the Ashes 2019 alive against all odds

Chasing a mammoth 359 in the fourth innings, Stokes hit a flurry of boundaries in a remarkable last-wicket stand of 73 with Jack Leach, who did not score a single run.

England’s hopes appeared to be over as they lost five wickets for 31 runs to bring Leach to the crease with 73 still required.

But Stokes remaine and moved to his hundred with a quite magnificent display of power-hitting and innovation to pull off perhaps the greatest chase in Ashes history.

The win keeps England in the hunt as they look to win back the Ashes, with the score tied at 1-1 after three Tests.

British Airways fined $230 under Data laws: EU courts

British Airways: July did not turn out to be a great month for British Airways as they have faced a record $230 million fine from EU courts after a website failure led the customer’s details leaked out and effected 0.5 million customers details. It would be the largest penalty yet under a tough privacy rule known as the General Data Protection Regulation, which came into force last year in the European Union.

The UK ICO said that weak security allowed user traffic to be diverted from the British Airways website to a fraudulent page starting in June 2018. The regulator said the company will have a chance to contest the proposed fine with a certain framework.
Attackers were able to access logins, passwords, card details, travel book details and other personal details which were devastating for customers Facebook investigated in Ireland over mishandled passwords. It was disclosed by Airways in September 2018 and went under trial in EU court and after scrutiny, British Airways found guilty and fined.
The £183.4 million ($230 million) fine is roughly 1.5% of British Airways’ annual revenue. The carrier, which is owned by IAG (ICAGY), said it would fight the penalty.
“We are surprised and disappointed in this initial finding,” British Airways CEO Alex Cruz said in a statement.
“British Airways responded quickly to a criminal act to steal customers’ data. We have found no evidence of fraud [or] fraudulent activity on accounts linked to the theft,” he added. GDPR forces companies to make sure the way they collect, process and store data is safe. Any organization that holds or uses data on people inside the European Union is subject to the rules, regardless of where it is based. Companies that breach the law can be fined up to 4% of their annual revenue.
